here’s another story about a person i became friends with in the last couple of months. his name is Turbo. Turbo is best known for running a tape label from graz, austria called wilhelm show me the major label. i am not sure if it is run only by him, as the WSMTML universe seems pretty decentralized. we first met in 2008 at steirischer herbst, when i was working for Krawalla, doing the bear for Räuberhöhle. Turbo was taking good care of us two the whole evening; telling us about Fäidaball and the label. i had heard of wilhelm and Lady Lynch before, a band he was playing in at the time. in fact: Lady Lynch started the same time as Vortex Rex and Fettkakao did. i have also seen Turbo playing in Black Fox Tropikal and Telly Is The Tube, but i guess he’s (been) involved in other projects as well. i am happy he is coming all the way from graz to share the DJ set w/ me at the Elektro Gönner on Febuary 15th, 2012.
